17 july: Indian handset maker Intex today launched a new smartphone dubbed as Aqua Selfie at Rs 6649. The company recently launched the Aqua S3 smartphone and the new Aqua Selfie is a new addition to the Aqua series.
Intex makes budget smartphones mostly under its Aqua series. The new Aqua selfie costs Rs 6649 while the Aqua S3 is priced at Rs 5,777. " For today's selfie struck generation we have brought the Aqua Selfie model powered with the front LED flash, supported by the big battery so one can keep clicking and store unlimited beautiful memories. We at the house of Intex always work towards providing innovative products to fulfil the needs of consumers and bringing to them more that what is required," said Ishita Bansal, product head, mobiles, Intex Technologies. Display and design: The new Intex Aqua Selfie comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display. There are thick bezels at the top and bottom and thin ones on the side. There is a front camera at the top with a flash alongside it. There are three buttons at the bottom. The phone weighs 178grams.
Processor: The smartphone runs Android 7 aka Android Nougat. Almost all the latest Intex phones come with Android Nougat now which is rare to find in phones at such low prices. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. Camera: The new Aqua Selfie comes with a 8MP (AF) rear camera with LED flash to capture moments and a 5MP (FF) selfie camera with LED flash.
Price: The smartphone is priced at Rs 6649.
