Google add location display feature in its phone app for emergency

Google has added a new safety-oriented feature in its Phone app that can potentially save many lives in cases of emergency. Thanks to the feature, every time an emergency number is dialed, users will instantly get details of their location on the screen.

In case a person finds it necessary to call an emergency number, say 911, a location card will appear on the screen containing information about the address, co-ordinates and small map preview of their location.
This will make it significantly easier for people who are in unfamiliar areas, to tell their exact location to the emergency personnel on the line. Also, it can be highly convenient for people who have suffered a medical injury and are unfamiliar with their surroundings.
Currently, the feature is available for Pixel, Nexus, Android One and Google Play Edition devices running Android 6.0 or higher..
